We’d like to take a minute and lookback at the lifespan of our good old faithful Shot Blast Machine!

Some might say, how can you be sentimental over a bit of machinery! Well, we say – that machinery has helped us service the customers we have grown to have today.

Our old Shot Blast Machine has been in service for the best part of 20 years, always faithful and always reliable!

facts - fond farewell

Facts and a Fond Farewell…

Here’s some facts on our good old faithful Shot Blast Machine that has now earned her place in retirement.

[box type=”note” align=”alignleft” width=”800″ ]
  • First purchased 20 years ago
  • Operational from 2000 – 2020
  • Shotblasted over 4 million pieces of system scaffolding, ground, civil and construction products
  • Approximate tonnage of 115,000 tonnes of equipment [/box]

As part of the new generation of St Helens Plant and our machinery and equipment upgrade programme, we decided it was better to end on a high, going out as good as she always was!

20 years is a long-life for any type of machinery that has handled over 4 million pieces of equipment. It was also time to adopt newer technology to provide incraesed output ability.

In Summary

We look forward to the output our new Shot Blast Machine can achive over the next 20 years, being a mommoth of a machine and of course, our piece de resistance!

We also look back at the progression St Helens Plant has made over the last 20 years and are proud to now have the younger generations Christopher and Phillip Pilling operating the company, and progressing with our machinery and equipment upgrade programme.
