Road Plates are one of the products we manufacture, being accredited installers of the Rocbinda Colorvial Anti-Skid, High Friction Surfacing System. We supply both skid-resistant road plates and steel road plates.
Road plates when installed must also be secured to the ground surface, especially when intended for use on roads and streets.
Road Plate Securing Collar
St Helens Plant supplies road plate securing collars designed to securely fasten the road plate preventing movement once in place. Advantages of securing collars speak for themselves, and include;
- Road plates neatly and securely fastened in place
- Preventing rocking of road plates in use, therefor reducing noise levels
- Designed with a plastic cover keeping the bolt head clean
- Can be re-used many times
Installing Securing Collars
Using a 16mm drill bit, drill the surrounding concrete to create a clearance hole of 19mm. Locate the securing collar in the hole in the road plate with the 16mm diameter bolt provided and use the adapter to drive the bolt into the concrete.
Removing the securing bolt is also quick and easy, simply simply set the adapter to anti-clockwise and repeat the above process.

Road plates supplied by St Helens Plant include a full materials test certificate. Securing collars for road plates are additionally also available.
