Built to take a beating — but even steel roadforms wear down over time. At St Helens Plant, we offer specialist servicing and repair for rigid edge, flexi, square edge and boardbase roadforms. We restore strength, alignment and finish while protecting galvanised or painted surfaces.

Edge & Weld Inspection

We inspect all panels, stake points, and weld lines for signs of cracking, fatigue or damage caused during handling or pour cycles.

Surface Cleaning – Zinc-Safe Methods

Whether painted or galvanised, we use controlled techniques to remove concrete buildup, rust stains, and road grit without stripping protective coatings.

Straightening & Reinforcement Repair

Damaged profiles are reshaped, reinforced, or re-welded to restore usability — ensuring consistent results on-site.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Roadform Repair & Servicing Site-Ready. Repaired Right.

What does your roadform servicing include?
We inspect, clean, and recondition all types of roadforms including rigid edge, flexi, square edge, boardbase, and bespoke formats. This includes concrete removal, weld inspection, structural straightening, and repainting or protective treatment where required.
Can you safely clean galvanised roadforms without damaging them?
Yes. We use zinc-safe cleaning techniques that remove concrete, dirt, and rust without stripping or compromising the galvanised coating. This preserves corrosion resistance and long-term durability.
Do you recondition painted or powder-coated roadforms too?
Absolutely. We assess the coating condition and touch up or recoat where needed. Whether painted, galvanised or raw steel, we tailor our process to suit the original finish and site demands.
How do you inspect roadforms for damage?
Our team checks for cracks, distorted edges, weakened welds, and deformation along the form body and stake points. Every form is checked manually and assessed for safe reusability.
Can you repair buckled or twisted roadforms?
Yes — we realign buckled forms using controlled straightening methods. Minor deformations are corrected, and major ones are either reinforced or rebuilt to ensure accurate concrete pours.
What if the stake holders or brackets are missing or damaged?
We can re-weld or replace missing stake brackets and fabricate replacement sections where needed. Our in-house team handles both standard and bespoke roadform fixes.
How quickly can roadform repair work be turned around?
Turnaround depends on the condition and volume, but most projects are completed within 5–10 working days. We'll provide a lead time upfront with every quote.
Do you offer re-coating or protection after cleaning?
Yes. For steel roadforms, we offer priming or painting after servicing to extend lifespan, reduce corrosion, and improve handling safety.
Is servicing roadforms more cost-effective than replacing them?
In nearly every case — yes. Refurbishment typically costs far less than replacement, especially for large or bespoke roadforms, and helps reduce waste.
Can you collect and return serviced roadforms?
We offer nationwide collection and delivery. Roadforms are returned cleaned, sorted, and securely stacked — ready to go back to work.
What types of clients do you work with?
We support civil engineering firms, groundworks contractors, highway maintenance teams, and anyone using reusable steel formwork. No order is too small — or too complex.

2
Step 2: Inspected & Repaired
Stringently inspect cleaned scaffolding for flaws, defects, damage, rust, and rot. Conduct internal quality assurance procedures to ensure thoroughness.

The initial stage is inspection of all components after blasting / cleaning, then follow onto the repair & servicing process.
3
Step 3: Equipment Finishing
An anti-corrosive coating is applied to all repaired equipment, enhancing durability and protecting against future corrosion and environmental damage.

From intake through shot blasting, inspection, repair, painting, and final QC, each component follows our rigorous six-step quality control system, ensuring industry-leading refurbishment standards.
